About SourceRabbit

SourceRabbit designs and develops CNC control software, CAM tools, GRBL-compatible firmware, motion controller hardware, and electronics for modern CNC machines.

Our products are built for professionals, machine builders, educators, makers, and serious hobbyists who need precision, stability, reliability, and ease of use in real CNC environments.

We focus on the control side of CNC technology, creating tools that help users prepare toolpaths, send G-code, control machine motion, and build reliable CNC control systems.

Our ecosystem includes Focus CNC Control Software, RabbitCAM, Rabbit GRBL, and Rabbit Board 4-Axis — products designed to work together across the CNC workflow, from CAM and G-code sending to firmware and motion control hardware.

Our software is designed to be powerful yet approachable, reducing setup complexity while offering the control and flexibility required in professional and workshop environments.

Our firmware, controllers, and electronics are engineered for stable operation, accurate motion, reliable connectivity, and long-term use.

At SourceRabbit, we don’t follow trends or build generic solutions.

We create CNC tools designed by engineers who actively use them, with a clear goal: to make CNC control simpler, more reliable, and more accessible.

About SourceRabbit

Our Story

SourceRabbit was founded in 2012 by Nikos Siatras as a software company focused on custom smartphone, web, desktop, and back-end software solutions.

In 2015, after several experiments with CNC technology, SourceRabbit introduced the Rabbit Mill, a small desktop CNC router designed to make CNC machining more accessible to makers, hobbyists, educators, and small workshops. To bring the project to the public, the company launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.

Although the campaign reached 53% of its funding goal, it marked an important turning point for SourceRabbit. The company changed direction, moved to larger facilities, invested in new equipment, and expanded from software development into CNC machine design and manufacturing.

The first Rabbit Mill was quickly replaced by a stronger and more refined model, the Rabbit Mill v2.0. This was followed by the Rabbit Mill v3.0 in 2017 and the Rabbit Mill 3030 in 2020, along with other CNC machines developed and manufactured by SourceRabbit.

Through this journey, we gained hands-on experience in CNC mechanics, electronics, firmware, motion control, CAM workflows, and machine operation. This experience shaped the way we build our products today.

In October 2025, SourceRabbit made another important transition. After years of designing and manufacturing CNC machines, the company decided to stop CNC machine production and focus entirely on the part of CNC technology it knows best: CNC control software, CAM software, GRBL-compatible firmware, and motion controller hardware.

Our current products, including Focus CNC Control Software, RabbitCAM, Rabbit GRBL, and Rabbit Board 4-Axis, are built from years of real CNC experience. They are designed to help users control, upgrade, and build CNC machines with greater simplicity, reliability, and confidence.

SourceRabbit started as a software company, evolved into a CNC machine manufacturer, and today continues as a CNC technology company focused on software, firmware, and electronics for modern CNC control.
